Real estate insurance is not mandatory in Turkey except for DASK* ( earthquake insurance ) *
The insurance is multiple and may cover many damages, such as:
Earthquakes – fires – explosions – transportation expenses due to loss – volcanoes – rental loss – broken glass – thefts, etc …
And the value of insurance varies from company to company. Here is an example to which the value calculation is given:
1 – A small apartment in one room is equivalent to 100 dollars
2 – Medium apartment with two or three bedrooms is equivalent to 130 – 170 dollars
3 – Private villa, insurance value ranges from 240 – 270 dollars

The value of real estate insurance in Turkey is calculated based on the size of the property and the declared value of the property.
What is DASK?
DASK (Doğal Afet Sigortaları Kurumu) is an obligatory earthquake insurance polis. You may not get a new water or electricity abonnement without this obligatory insurance of the property in Turkey. The other insurance covers earthquake risk after DASK polis.
